Good evening Blizzard families and happy holidays!
First of all - I want to send out a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the Blizzard Annual Santa Skate such a success. The kids all had a wonderful time both on and off the ice. Special thanks to the coaches for coordinating the on-ice games, also thank you to all the parents who helped with set up and clean up in the room.
A BIG Blizzard THANK YOU to Santa for skating and visiting with our Blizzard skaters. Here is a photo of Santa with all our skaters.
We have lots of photos of the night, but if you have photos you would like to share with the Blizzard or have passed on to Santa, please forward them to me. If you have a skater that did not attend, the Blizzards have a gift bag for every skater. Please find me and I will make sure your skater gets their gift bag.
1. PG Long Track Competition - Meet Entry
If you are going to the Prince George Long Track meet coming up January 6, forms were due this past week. I have heard from a lot of you, however, if your name is not on the list below, please advise if you will be attending and email me the registration form (see below) before Thurs Dec 21! Please and Thank You! I will gather cheques Jan 2, the first Tues we are back after Christmas. Those that are signing up for the Academy Long Track camp on the Sunday after the meet, please let me know.
Please reply to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and not to this email which is the Registrar.
Also, is there any officials wanting to be evaluated in their position at the meet??

2. PG Long Track Volunteers
A quick reminder that the Blizzards are looking for volunteers to help out with the PG Long Track competition on January 6th. Please contact Keri (email@example.com) and Dave (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are available to help out.
3. Long Track Practices
Just a quick reminder that Coach Corine Masich will be holding long track practices on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings throughout the holidays.
4. Outdoor Ice Oval Hours
Skating is available at the oval over the holidays, weather permitting. The oval opens at 10am and closes at 8:30pm. The crew is doing a great job making sure the ice stays in top condition. Seasons passes are $25 per person or $60 per family. For parents who want to give long blades a try long track skates are available for rental, when volunteers are available to host the rental program, $5 for 2 hours.
Wishing you a safe and happy holiday!
