You can then select Prince George Blizzard under ‘Clubs’ and then select the appropriate Category (short track or long track) then select Search
- To register for a meet: print out the entry form (sent to you as an attachment in an email from the club Meet Entry Co-ordinator, or download and print from the BCSSA website, in the calendar under “events and results”);
- Complete the form and return it to the Meet Entry Coordinator (see Appendix 1) at the rink, along with a check, by the deadline designated in the email or on the form. If your child has not previously skated in a meet, speak to his/her coach about what times to enter on the form. See Table 3 for age class categories. As there is some overlap in the ages between categories, check with your coach if it is not clear which category is correct.
- Keep a record of your child’s race times from meets, as you will need Personal Bests (PBs) to register for subsequent meets (an Excel file is handy for this - meet location, date, distance, time – highlight personal best times for each distance).
- You can also locate your child’s PB on the BCSSA website

- Record your child’s SSC number on the meet entry form. This is also located on the BCSSA lookup site. Once you have the number, write it down or record it where you keep track of your child’s times. You will need this number for every meet registration!
- Transportation to meets is usually the responsibility of the individual family. Some families love to car pool. If a competition is to be held over two days, the Host hotel information will be included on the registration forms. Please make your own transportation and hotel arrangements.
- The club may provide a bus for travel to/from one short track meet or one long track meet each season for a minimal fee. This will be announced when the entry forms are sent out.
